Punjab Emergency Service with its proactive approach towards emergencies aims to prevent emergencies from happening.
Therefore, a comprehensive database has been compiled from the beginning of the Service and is being updated on regular
basis to collect data for research and analysis purposes. Research wing of the Service analyze data and statistics regarding emergencies to drive reasons and causes behind these emergencies and to recommend appropiate measures for prevention.
Hazard mapping is being done on regular basis to cluster map the high risk areas and then to suggest measures to reduce the number of emergencies in these areas.
Punjab Emergency Council has also been established for monitoring the management of emergencies, improving coordination
amongst concerned departments and recommending measures for the prevention of emergencies. |
