The Motorbike Rescue Service (MRS) was started from Lahore on 10th October, 2017 to improve response to emergencies especially in congested old city areas and traffic jams. The Motorbike Rescuers are trained and equipped to provide onsite emergency medical care. Initially, this Motorbike Rescue Service was launched in 9 Divisional Headquarters of Punjab with 900 Motorbikes including, 300 for Lahore, 100 each at Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi & Multan and 50 each at Sargodha, DG Khan, Sahiwal & Bahawalpur.
